YOUR DECISION GUIDE

Fit: a modular introduction

This path is a useful option to investigate when you prefer a sequence of smaller Microsoft Learn modules. Compare CS50 Python if you want a course organised around a larger set of programming problems and a final project.

Start with one small task, such as validating and summarising user input. Adapt the same program as you learn new constructs instead of starting from scratch after every lesson.

Study beyond the examples

Type and modify examples, then predict what will happen before you run them. Keep a list of errors that you can now explain in your own words.

Our suggested checkpoint is to recreate a short program without copying the lesson. If that is difficult, revisit the relevant module before adding another tool.

Setup and progress

The four modules include Python fundamentals and a development-environment setup module. Use that module’s current installation guidance.

You can read Learn training without a profile; a profile is used for progress and achievements. Those achievements are separate from professional certification.
