A focused Azure starting collection

This collection currently covers two Microsoft Learn paths, not the whole cloud training market. It is useful if you are deciding between learning about relational data services and building AI applications on Azure. AWS, Google Cloud, networking and operations are not represented here yet.

Start with the task you need to understand. A data-service introduction helps you reason about storage choices; an application path addresses a different set of tools and prerequisites. Neither should be chosen only because “cloud” appears in the title.

Read the lab requirements before starting

Training text, exercises and cloud resources are separate things. Check the linked path for the required account, permissions, service availability and any resources an exercise asks you to create. Follow the provider’s instructions for managing and removing practice resources.

Our course guides link to the official paths and explain their stated setup. We do not promise that every exercise is available without an account or without cost.

Use a learning objective you can explain

For data learning, a useful objective is to explain why a relational service fits a small example and what assumptions that choice makes. For AI applications, describe the input, service interaction and output before expanding the application.

These are suggested practice questions, not a claim that either path assesses them in a particular way. They help you distinguish understanding a service from following a sequence of interface clicks.

Training, achievements and certification

Completing a learning path can record training progress. A professional certification or exam has separate rules and is not automatically included. If certification is your goal, check the current exam objectives and official credential requirements independently.

Can a beginner start here? Compare the prerequisite details on each path. Does this guide rank cloud providers? No: the current catalogue is too narrow for that comparison. Use the full guides below to decide whether these particular Azure topics match your next step.
