Teachable is designed for educators and businesses that want to package their expertise into products. Its course builder supports lesson content and a student learning experience, alongside tools for taking payments and managing enrolments. It also supports coaching, memberships and digital downloads.

Our fit assessment: start here if you have knowledge to teach and need a hosted way to deliver it. If your goal is to learn Python or another subject, choose a particular instructor’s course instead. Paying for creator software does not give you a ready-made audience or an income guarantee.

Compare product limits, student management, assessments, branding and integrations against the school you intend to run. Separate a must-have requirement from something you might use later. More software features do not automatically make a course more useful.

The official pricing page distinguishes Starter, Builder, Growth and Custom, with monthly and annual billing. Platform transaction fees and payment processing are separate considerations. Check gateway conditions, usage charges and the full commitment at checkout before choosing a tier.

For learners buying an individual course

Read that school’s syllabus, instructor information, prerequisites, refund terms and access duration. Evaluate the actual teaching offer; the hosting platform alone does not establish course quality, academic credit or a professional qualification.

Open the provider’s current promotion page and confirm the eligible plan, account type, billing term and renewal amount. A creator-platform offer should not be assumed to discount an independent instructor’s course. Our guide does not report a checkout test.
